About the Role

The Senior Community Engagement Manager is responsible for building long term relationships and implementing strategies to engage and promote CatholicCare Services within both the general and Catholic communities, including parishes, schools, other agencies and local community groups.   

 The role is responsible for:

  •  Managing the day to day tasks and timelines of the Catholic Community Engagement Team to ensure team targets are met
  •  Developing and maintaining an extensive network of key contacts across the Catholic and broader community
  • Providing linkage between CatholicCare services and parishes, schools, agencies, other stakeholders
  • Implementing annual community fundraising strategies and supporting major donor and bequest fundraising strategies
  • Providing project support to CatholicCare’s mission areas on issues of strategic significance
  • Developing and maintaining an effective electronic system for capturing key information within the CatholicCare database to ensure the retention of corporate knowledge
  • Assisting in other fundraising duties with the Community Engagement team as required.

About You

To be a suitable candidate for this role you will have:

  •  Familiarity with the Catholic Church and its structure; agreement with its key principles and teachings and ability to undertake the role in accordance with CatholicCare's Mission, Vision and Values
  • Demonstrated understanding of key, current issues faced by parishes, schools and other agencies
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholder relations and build collaborative and mutually beneficial partnerships across a range of stakeholders
  • An ability to understand and support the delivery of commercial imperatives within the organisation, understanding that this is our means of realising our mission
  • Previous experience in community development and/or outreach
  • Previous fundraising experience or exposure to fundraising programs
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or commensurate experience.
